Often, the printed circuit board receives a number of electrically conductive lines that provide communication between components of the electronic device. The electrically conductive lines may be formed on the printed circuit board as an array of electrically conductive pads, and may be continuous and interconnected. To allow the printed circuit board to be connected to the elongated electrical connector, the elongated electrical connector may be mechanically coupled to the array of electrically conductive pads, and thereby allow the elongated electrical connector to electrically communicate with the array of electrically conductive pads.
When the elongated electrical connector is coupled to the array of electrically conductive pads, and the array of electrically conductive pads is mounted to the printed circuit board, the array of electrically conductive pads may be covered by the elongated electrical connector, thereby precluding any individual access to the array of electrically conductive pads. However, in many instances, the array of electrically conductive pads may include sections of electrically conductive lines that are exposed, and which are able to be electrically communicated with by the elongated electrical connector.
